For families with both neurotypical and special needs children, this space becomes even more important. It needs to invite everyone in, offer comfort and safety, and adapt beautifully to a range of sensory, physical, and emotional needs. That’s exactly what we designed this room to do.

There’s something about the holidays that makes us want our homes to feel extra welcoming—cozy corners, twinkling lights, a table that invites people to linger just a little longer. And while we love a good heirloom piece (you know we do), we also believe that beautiful holiday decorating doesn’t have to be complicated or hard to source.

Because the spaces only you see deserve just as much care. There’s a pattern we see again and again in homes—especially busy family homes. The kitchen gets the attention. The family room gets layered and loved.  The entry gets edited because guests will see it.  And then there’s the primary bathroom.Often functional. Often “good enough.” And very often the last space on the list to receive any real design intention.

Some homes impress you with their beauty. Others make you wish you had been invited to stay for the weekend. Bunny Williams' An Affair with a House has always done the latter for me.

Every home tells a story. For this family, their kitchen had served faithfully for years — but it was time for an update that reflected how they live today. The space felt dark and segmented, making daily life (and entertaining) feel a bit cramped. Our clients dreamed of a kitchen that could be both a practical workspace and a welcoming gathering spot.

This week’s new arrivals strike that perfect balance of old and new — handcrafted pottery, vintage art, and beautifully textured textiles designed to bring character and comfort to your home.

Each piece was chosen for its versatility and substance — the kind of item that fits seamlessly into a layered, lived-in space and only gets better with time.

Every home has that one space with untapped potential — and for this long-time client, it was the porch. It had great bones and beautiful views, but it just wasn’t functional for how their family lived. Too small for gatherings and too exposed for comfort, it often sat empty — except for the occasional summer dinner when the weather was perfect.

We knew this space could be so much more.
