After 18 months of dreaming, designing, and decision-making, this new-build project is nearly complete—and the dining room just might be our favorite moment in the entire home. Nestled into a quiet neighborhood surrounded by evergreens, this house needed a design that reflected the natural beauty right outside its windows. So we brought the forest in.

If you’ve ever walked into a room in your home and felt… off, you’re not alone. This bedroom was a prime example—a dark, somber space that didn’t reflect the joy or personality of the homeowners. Nothing was technically wrong, but everything felt heavy and uninspired. The problem? Living with a space that isn't working can slowly chip away at your sense of ease and comfort—especially in rooms meant for rest and restoration.

This family had just moved in when it became clear: the kitchen needed a complete overhaul. The home checked so many boxes, but the existing kitchen—dark, cramped, and dated—stood in stark contrast to the rest of the space. Heavy cherry cabinets and black accents swallowed the light, while a bulky island broke up the room in all the wrong ways. Too many walkways, not enough function. From day one, they knew this layout had to change.
