A Floor Plan Built For Family Life

Young families need family rooms to work really hard for them.  When kiddos are little, they just want to be where you are.   They love having your nearby, whether they are playing, coloring or watching a video.  

With such varied needs, the spaces need to have good surfaces for spreading out games, puzzles and toys, and lots of seating, so parents and grandparents can easily join the fun.  

With a coffee table doubling as a play table, every surface has dual functions.  The lift top storage bench, works well for tucking away stuffed animals and throw blankets.  

This family was really hoping to have a sectional in their space, so we utilized a compact, asymmetrical one, that still allows them to access their sliding door.  

Many of these plans utilize a pair of sofas.  Flexibility in your layout allows you to feel like you have a whole new space.  This also allows you to fit that large Christmas tree into your space at the holidays.  

With a swivel chair, a pair of sofas and a generous storage chest, this plan allows family life to be easy at home.
