When embarking on a new project for a client, our initial focus is to get to know them, and get to know their needs for their space.
We always start by identifying the perfect floor plan. Before exploring furniture, fabrics, rugs, lighting, or artwork, our starting point is consistently the pursuit of an optimal layout. Each client's space comes with slightly different requirements, and we thoroughly enjoy conducting an in-depth analysis to discover the ideal arrangement.
For this particular client, their primary living space is a family room that overlooks a stunning wooded lot. The room is bathed in natural light and boasts ample square footage. The initial proposal we presented includes a spacious sectional and a pair of cozy swivel lounge chairs.

These are two preliminary images of our client's living area. Employing a variety of techniques, we orchestrated a makeover to enhance the visual appeal, warmth, and alignment with the residents' individual style and preferences in their living space.
Integrating a sectional, along with carefully selected table lamps, floor lamps, and an area rug, can significantly elevate an existing space. The sectional serves as a central piece, offering ample seating and defining the seating area with a sense of coziness and functionality.
This selection of the area rug is ideal, as it complements the color of the sectional, and the orange tones enhance the coordination with lamps and other elements in the room. Strategically placed, it not only introduces texture and visual interest but also defines different zones within the space. It acts as an anchor, tying together the various elements and adding a layer of comfort to the flooring.

Well-chosen accessories, such as decorative items, throw pillows, and accent pieces, provide the finishing touches that bring a space to life. These elements add texture, color, and personality, creating a layered and curated look. Accessories can be updated seasonally or as design trends evolve, allowing for flexibility and a refreshed feel over time.
Incorporating carefully chosen wall art adds personality and character to the room. Artwork serves as a focal point, drawing the eye and setting the tone for the entire space. Whether it's a bold statement piece or a curated gallery wall, art introduces visual interest and contributes to the room's aesthetic appeal. The selected artwork occupies the expansive wall, featuring a nature scene that accentuates the natural colors present in the space.
In the previous space, lighting was limited to recessed lights above. To address this, we have introduced both floor and table lamps, strategically placed at each corner of the seating area ensuring optimal lighting for activities such as reading a book or using an iPad. Table lamps contribute focused and ambient lighting, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere while also serving as stylish decor elements. Similarly, floor lamps can provide additional lighting in specific areas, enhancing the overall illumination and adding a touch of sophistication to the room.

A thoughtfully designed fireplace surround enhances the focal point of the room. Whether it's a sleek and modern design or a classic and ornate mantle, the fireplace surround contributes to the overall style of the space. Materials, colors, and architectural details in the fireplace surround can complement the room's design scheme and provide a sense of cohesion.
