During this family room remodel, we got creative about how to best utilize an empty corner of the space. We made it a destination by turning it into a functional and beautiful dry bar for this couple who loves to entertain their friends and family at home.
This was all about making the most of every inch and ensuring each 'zone' was functional. Whether it's adding a bar cart or something like a game table, make sure you're creating spaces that you want to spend time in.
Pro Tip: Build your bar cart on a chest so you can store extra glasses, serving pieces and bottles within it to keep them convenient and close at-hand.

Get the Look
Start with a table lamp to add some height and make a statement. It also creates a beautiful pool of light in the corner of your space, adding warmth and interest.
Layer in all-things rattan for added warmth and texture - everything from trays to cocktail shakers to ice buckets. 
Elements like vases and footed bowls are wonderful for not only adding height, but also creating opportunities for depth and added layers / textures with things like flowers, vase filler and additional decor.
