This bathroom started as a purely functional space—bland and dated finishes, limited storage, and a layout that made everything just feel cramped. The vision: a retreat that felt elevated and fresh, full of color, light, character, and purpose.
To bring that vision to life, we wrapped the room in a vintage-inspired green floral wallpaper, instantly adding warmth and personality. Crisp white wainscoting behind the soaking tub adds architectural interest and helps balance the pattern play. A sculptural freestanding tub now serves as a calming centerpiece, inviting slower mornings and relaxing evening rituals. By replacing the built-in tub with a freestanding one, the whole space feels bigger and brighter.
Custom oak cabinetry replaced undersized vanities, creating generous surface space and deep drawers for practical, everyday use. A tall tower adds vertical storage while visually anchoring the room. Honed, Taj Mahal quartzite counters deliver elegance with easy maintenance—perfect for busy routines.
The shower, once dark and dated, now features soft gray porcelain slabs that mimic natural stone, without a single grout line to keep clean. Brushed bronze fixtures throughout the room warm up the palette and lend a timeless, collected look. Ribbed glass sconces above each mirror add vintage charm while casting a soft, flattering glow. Bright when turned all the way up, and softer and gentler when dimmed late at night or early in the morning, the lighting now has much more flexibility. By removing the full-height wall between the shower and vanity, and replacing it with a glass partition wall, the shower feels less closed in, and visually expands the entire space.
This bathroom now reflects the joy, rhythm, and beauty of real life—elevated, organized, and layered with intention. At A Nested Home, we believe even hardworking spaces deserve a little (okay, a lot of) magic.
