Family Room for Gaming, Lounging, Cocktails and Movies

This busy family of five have been waiting for years to finally finish their lower level into a space that serves their whole gang.  With different ages and interests, this space needed to capture a lot of different activity zones.  

First, we wanted to put in a wet bar for easy access to snacks and cocktails during all of the movie marathons and gaming session.  

This unfinished space has become the family's favorite spot in the whole house. We have managed to fit in a pool table, a shuffleboard table, storage, a fireplace, game table loads of comfortable seating for movie marathons.  

The neutrals and greens keep this space bright, warm and cozy.

We also added a powder room, and the client wanted an exercise area, as well.  The dad in this family is an avid fisherman and needed a spot for his tie-flying and fishing materials.  They asked if it could be done, and we rolled up our sleeves and got to work making sure this family room fits them perfectly.
