For over twenty years, Nest has had the honor of designing the annual Spring Soirée for the Wisconsin Women’s Health Foundation—and each year, it’s a true labor of love. Held at the Garver Green Historic Feed Mill in Madison, this year’s event felt especially vibrant, echoing both the renewal of spring and the powerful momentum behind WWHF’s mission.
We wanted the space to feel like a joyful gathering—a party thrown by friends, for friends—with a warm, layered aesthetic that honored the organization’s incredible outreach while making every guest feel personally welcomed. Cast iron urns brimming with leafy green branches flanked key entry points, giving the room structure and drama. At each table, moss-filled centerpieces were designed to look like spring itself was quietly blooming—emerging florals peeking through, hinting at all the beauty still to come.
Rather than going for a cookie-cutter event look, we opted for a lively mix of green and white linens. That deliberate cacophony gave the room a sense of movement and ease—less like a formal gala, and more like a treasured dinner party filled with meaningful conversation and good company.
The Wisconsin Women’s Health Foundation is doing the real work—offering vital services, education, and programs that directly impact women and families across the state. Designing an event to support them is our way of giving back, of saying: your work matters. You matter.
To us, the Spring Soirée isn’t just a fundraiser. It’s a celebration of connection, care, and community—a reminder that design can do more than look pretty. It can gather people, tell a story, and help carry an important mission forward.
