A guest bathroom might be one of the smallest rooms in a home—but when it’s done well, it leaves one of the biggest impressions. For this project, we treated every square inch as an opportunity to create a space that feels thoughtful, welcoming, and quietly special. The kind of room that makes guests linger just a little longer and think, this house feels good.

We started with wallpaper that sets the tone right away. Patterned, grounded, and full of movement, it brings personality without overwhelming the room. It’s the kind of backdrop that feels layered and lived-in, not trendy for trend’s sake. From there, we chose a round mirror with a bamboo edge—an unexpected detail that softens the space and adds warmth, breaking up all the straight lines in just the right way.
This mossy green and graphic pattern wraps the whole room in serene color.
The vanity anchors the room. Its reeded texture adds depth and shadow, while the rich green finish gives the space a sense of calm confidence. Paired with a brushed gold faucet that leans just a bit edgy, the mix feels fresh but timeless—polished without trying too hard.
Lighting was key. Instead of harsh overhead glare, we flanked the mirror with pendant lights that cast a soft, warm, diffuse glow. The result is flattering, cozy, and inviting—exactly what you want in a guest bath, especially in the evening hours.
And then came the details (our favorite part). We selected the area rug for texture and comfort underfoot, the soap dispenser for a subtle moment of beauty at the sink, and even the towels—because yes, they matter. We carefully considered the ceiling paint and the door and window trim color so every surface feels intentional and cohesive. Nothing is accidental here.
Ceiling color is Benjamin Moore's Manchester Tan, in a flat finish. We will use the same color on the trim, but in a semigloss finish for extra sheen, durability and texture.
A modern, rounded towel bar adds a bit of sculptural interest to a utilitarian item.
A set of luxurious bath towels leaves everyone feeling cared for, when every need is considered.
Our favorite way to keep staples in plain sight and easy reach, is to use a vintage basket for extra toilet paper rolls.
This is what we mean when we say love where you live. A guest bath doesn’t need to be big or flashy to feel luxurious—it just needs care, creativity, and a whole lot of intention. And when every element works together, the space quietly does its job: making people feel right at home.
