At A Nested Home, we believe that a well-designed space is more than just beautiful—it’s built to support the rhythms of your daily life. This cozy green den is a perfect example of how thoughtful design choices create a home that feels effortless yet deeply functional for a growing family.

Layered Design for Everyday Living

The heart of this space is the rich green sectional, upholstered in a durable yet luxurious fabric that invites family movie nights, post-school decompression, and weekend lounging. Paired with an organic-inspired wallpaper, the room feels fresh and layered, striking the perfect balance between style and practicality. Natural textures—woven ottomans, a slatted wood coffee table, and rattan accents—add warmth and durability, ensuring that every element stands the test of time.

Additional texture appears via a eucalyptus tree, mottled brass planter, and lovely textured and patterned pillows.

A geometric, neutral rug is an easy counterpoint to the dynamic, sinuous wallpaper.  A white oak plank floor is warm foundation for the whole space.  The ceiling is painted in Benjamin Moore's Pale Oak, and the trim is glossy in Benjamin Moore's White Dove.

The Designer’s Touch: Beauty Meets Function

This isn’t just about aesthetics—it’s about making smart decisions that serve your family long-term. Working with a designer means selecting materials that can handle everyday spills and wear while still feeling elevated. We know how to source the right textiles, choose furniture with the perfect proportions, and layer lighting for a space that feels inviting at all hours of the day.

This room had enough wall surface to make a significant statement with wallpaper.  We sourced six wallpapers to review, and from which to make our final selection.  They all had merit, but our final selection was dense, bold and color-loaded to keep this space young and fresh.

A Home That Grows With You

Families evolve, and your home should, too. This space is designed to be flexible—soft, neutral pillows can be swapped for a new look seasonally, while the classic wallpaper and investment pieces will remain timeless. When we design a room, we think about how it will function five, ten, even fifteen years down the line.

Hard-working, beautiful furniture and lighting, selected with the help of a designer, can guarantee that it all fits beautifully into your space, for the long-term.
